Hello there! I’m Corné van Graan, and I’m passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives through my work as a Specialist Urologist.
I was born on a beautiful October day in 1973, and I’ve been on an incredible journey ever since. My family is my rock, and I feel blessed to be married to my wonderful wife, Susell van Graan. We are proud parents of three amazing children who light up our world.
I embarked on my academic journey at the prestigious University of Pretoria, where I nurtured my love for medicine and surgery. After years of hard work and dedication, I earned my MBCHB degree, followed by specialized qualifications, including FC Urol (South Africa), Diploma in Microsurgery (Medunsa), Diploma in Laparoscopy from the University of Strasbourg, and a coveted Certificate as a DaVinci Robotic Surgeon.
In 2007, I had the privilege of serving as a consultant at 1 Military Hospital, where I honed my skills and learned the value of teamwork in delivering exceptional healthcare. Since then, I’ve been running a thriving private practice at Wilgeheuwel Hospital, aiming to provide the best possible care to my patients. I’m also affiliated with Netcare Waterfall, Wilgeheuwel Cure Day Clinic, and Netcare Constantia, ensuring that I can make a positive difference in more lives. I am very excited to be part of the team of specialists that will work at the Johannesburg Surgical Hospital, a new “state of the art” surgical center that would provide specialist surgical services.
My journey as a Specialist Urologist has been immensely rewarding. I am actively involved in the Urological Association of South Africa and the Southern African Endourological Society, which allows me to stay at the forefront of cutting-edge medical advancements. I am incredibly honored to be a Fellow of the College of Urologists of South Africa and serve as an Examiner, helping shape the future of our profession
When I’m not in the operating room or consulting with patients, you can find me indulging in my hobbies. I love exploring nature, engaging in sports, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
